Part-Time Equipment Shop Mechanic

Overview:

We are seeking a skilled part time mechanic to join our team. As a shop mechanic, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining various vehicles and small equipment, or heavy equipment such as on road trucks, excavators, front-end loaders, dozers, skid loaders, compactors and more. This is a part-time position that will flex around your work schedule.

Responsibilities:

• Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as oil changes, tire rotations, and minor electrical work
• Diagnose and repair mechanical issues on vehicles and equipment
• Conduct thorough inspections to identify any potential problems or safety concerns
• Use diagnostic tools and equipment to accurately diagnose issues
• Complete repairs efficiently and effectively
• Keep accurate records of all maintenance and repairs performed
• Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of projects
• Follow all safety protocols and guidelines
• Shifts vary with work load

Experience:

• Proven experience as a Mechanic or similar role
• Strong knowledge of vehicle systems and components
• Proficient in using diagnostic tools and equipment
• Ability to interpret technical manuals and schematics
• Excellent problem-solving skills
• Fabrication skills such as using welder/torch
