In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining Ford diesel engines and heavy equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with a variety of machinery, including farm equipment, industrial machinery, and automotive systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and a passion for vehicle maintenance and repair. Your expertise will directly contribute to keeping our fleet operational and our customers satisfied. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive diagnostics on Ford diesel engines using schematics and automotive diagnostic tools Conduct repairs on heavy equipment such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, and tractor-trailers Service and repair farm machinery, industrial equipment, and automotive systems including transmissions, air brakes, hydraulics, suspension, HVAC systems, shocks & struts, and tire service Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, soldering techniques, and fabrication skills to complete repairs efficiently Maintain detailed records of repairs performed and parts used; interpret schematics for complex mechanical issues Conduct preventive maintenance tasks such as alignments, vehicle inspections, and routine servicing to extend equipment lifespan Assist with assembly or reassembly of machinery components following repair or fabrication procedures Qualifications Proven dealership experience or extensive mechanic experience in heavy equipment or automotive repair Strong mechanical knowledge of diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, electrical systems, and vehicle maintenance Hands-on experience with excavators, cranes, forklifts, Caterpillar machinery, tractor-trailers, HVAC systems, shocks & struts, brakes & wheel alignments Ability to read schematics accurately and troubleshoot electrical or mechanical issues effectively Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, soldering techniques and heavy lifting safely Knowledge of service technician procedures including tire service and equipment repair Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly Join us if you're eager to work in a fast-paced environment where your skills make a real difference!
