Job Description

Calibration Service Training Technical Support Consulting Position Summary The Asset Performance Technician is responsible for supporting customers through equipment delivery, setup, calibration, training, technical support, and ongoing service. This role combines hands-on technical work with customer relationship management and business development support. The technician ensures customers are successful in operating, maintaining, and maximizing the performance of their equipment and testing systems. This position serves as both a technical expert and trusted consultant, helping customers improve operational efficiency, maintain compliance standards, and implement best practices in concrete technology and materials testing. Key Responsibilities Equipment Delivery & Setup Deliver and install equipment at customer facilities and job sites Perform initial equipment setup, commissioning, and operational verification Configure systems, software, and calibration settings Ensure all equipment is functioning properly before customer turnover Provide clear startup documentation and operational guidance Customer Training & Technical Support Train customer personnel on proper equipment operation, maintenance, and safety procedures Provide remote technical support via phone, video conferencing, and online troubleshooting Diagnose operational issues and recommend corrective actions Assist customers with testing procedures, calibration questions, and concrete technology applications Create and maintain strong customer relationships through responsive service Calibration & Service Perform scheduled calibration services and preventative maintenance Conduct inspections, repairs, adjustments, and troubleshooting of testing equipment Maintain calibration records and service documentation Ensure equipment complies with applicable industry standards and specifications Support internal quality assurance and service processes Concrete Technology & Consulting Support Assist customers with concrete testing procedures and best practices Provide technical guidance related to concrete materials testing and performance Support customers in improving operational efficiency and testing accuracy Serve as a technical consultant for equipment utilization and workflow optimization Help identify customer needs and recommend solutions or additional services Business Development & Customer Success Support business growth through customer engagement and relationship building Identify opportunities for additional equipment, service, or training needs Assist sales and management teams with technical recommendations and customer support Represent the company professionally during customer interactions, demonstrations, and industry events Contribute to continuous improvement of service offerings and customer satisfaction Qualifications Technical experience with calibration, service, maintenance, or industrial equipment Knowledge of concrete technology, materials testing, or construction equipment preferred Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities Excellent communication and customer service skills Ability to train and educate customers effectively Comfortable working independently in both field and remote support environments Mechanical, electrical, or instrumentation experience preferred Valid driver's license and willingness to travel as needed Preferred Skills Calibration and metrology experience Concrete or construction materials testing knowledge Technical software and remote support experience Field service experience CRM or service documentation systems familiarity Business development or customer consulting experience Work Environment Combination of field service, customer site visits, office work, and remote support Travel may be required for equipment delivery, service, and training Hands-on work with technical equipment and testing systems Customer-focused, team-oriented environment Ideal Candidate Traits Self-motivated and dependable Technically skilled with strong attention to detail Professional and customer-oriented Adaptable and solutions-focused Strong communicator and relationship builder Interested in both technical excellence and customer success Suggested Certifications (Optional) ACI Concrete Field Testing Technician ACI Strength Testing Technician Calibration/Metrology Certifications OSHA Safety Training Industrial Instrumentation Certifications Electrical/Mechanical Maintenance Certifications Ideal Candidate Profile The ideal candidate combines strong technical ability with excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
