Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Mechanic to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of heavy equipment, industrial machinery, and automotive systems. Your expertise will ensure equipment operates safely, efficiently, and reliably across various sectors including construction, agriculture, and industrial services. This position offers an exciting opportunity for mechanics passionate about hands-on work, problem-solving, and delivering top-tier service to clients. Duties Perform detailed diagnostics using schematics and technical manuals to identify mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues in heavy machinery and vehicles. Conduct repairs on diesel engines, transmissions, brakes, suspensions, shocks & struts, HVAC systems, and other critical components of farm machinery, industrial equipment, excavators, cranes, forklifts, and tractor-trailers. Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, soldering techniques, and fabrication skills to assemble or repair machinery parts. Maintain and service equipment including tire replacement & repair, alignment adjustments, hydraulic system repairs, air brake systems, and general vehicle maintenance. Troubleshoot electrical systems and perform automotive diagnostics to ensure optimal performance of vehicles and machinery. Follow safety protocols during heavy lifting operations and when handling hazardous materials or complex repairs. Document all maintenance activities accurately in service records and communicate effectively with customers regarding repair status and recommendations. Assist with preventive maintenance schedules to minimize downtime and extend equipment lifespan. Experience Proven mechanic experience with a strong background in heavy equipment operation and repair across diverse machinery types. Dealership experience highly preferred for familiarity with manufacturer-specific protocols such as Caterpillar or similar brands. Skilled in fabrication techniques including welding and metalworking to customize or repair parts as needed. Knowledge of schematics for electrical wiring diagrams and hydraulic systems is essential for accurate troubleshooting. Hands-on experience with automotive repair including brake systems, transmissions, HVAC systems, tire service, shocks & struts is required. Ability to operate power tools safely while performing complex assembly or disassembly tasks. Strong mechanical knowledge combined with excellent customer service skills to communicate effectively with clients about repairs and maintenance needs. Certification in diesel engine repair or related fields is a plus but not mandatory; relevant training will be provided for the right candidate.
