In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of heavy equipment, industrial machinery, and farm machinery at customer sites. Your expertise will ensure equipment operates efficiently and safely, providing exceptional service to our clients. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in diverse environments, troubleshoot complex systems, and deliver top-tier technical support that keeps operations running smoothly. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive diagnostics and repairs on heavy equipment including excavators, cranes, forklifts, tractors, and other industrial machinery. Conduct routine maintenance such as oil changes, filter replacements, and system inspections to prevent future issues. Utilize schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot electrical, hydraulic, transmission, air brake, suspension, HVAC, and other mechanical systems. Fabricate parts or modify equipment as needed using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and fabrication techniques. Test repaired equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety standards are met before returning it to service. Maintain detailed service records, work orders, and documentation of repairs performed for each client. Provide excellent customer service by communicating clearly with clients about repair procedures and maintenance recommendations. Qualifications Proven experience as a mechanic with a focus on heavy equipment operation and industrial machinery repair. Dealership experience or similar background working with Caterpillar or other major brands is highly desirable. Strong mechanical knowledge across various systems including hydraulics, transmissions, electrical components, shocks & struts, tires & wheel service, and welding. Proficiency in reading schematics and technical manuals for troubleshooting complex issues. Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, soldering equipment, and maintenance tools required for equipment repair. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently in various outdoor environments. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; experience with tractor-trailers or similar vehicles is a plus. Excellent problem-solving skills combined with a customer-focused attitude to deliver timely solutions.
