Road Mechanic

Job Summary:

We are looking for a skilled and motivated Road Mechanic with a valid CDL to join our team. This role is ideal for individuals seeking a hands-on, dynamic work environment with opportunities to advance their technical and leadership skills. As a Road Mechanic, you will perform preventative maintenance, diagnostics, and advanced repairs on a wide range of equipment at customer locations. This position requires occasional travel and the ability to adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced setting.

Key Responsibilities:

Work on a variety of makes, models & equipment in challenging remote locations Develop new skills for a career track in service or operation management Troubleshoot and repair electrical and hydraulic systems. Travel for short times is required. Ensure safety and reliability of equipment to minimize customer downtime. Accurately document service work and communicate status to customers and supervisors. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.

Equipment May Include:

General construction tools and equipment Small tools and machinery Heavy equipment ("yellow iron") Welding machines

Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED required; technical trade school or equivalent training preferred. 1-2 years of mechanical experience with diesel, heavy construction, or specialized equipment (generators, pumps, HVAC, Oil & Gas equipment) strongly preferred. Valid driver's license and clean driving record required; CDL required (must be at least 21 years old). Knowledge of electrical and hydraulic system diagnostics and repairs. Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physically demanding tasks including bending, squatting, and outdoor work in various weather conditions. Mechanic tools and service truck provided by the company. The physical demands of this role require bending, squatting, crouching, reaching, lifting 50 pounds or more, and working indoors/outdoors when required by the job.
