We are currently looking for a Mechanics assistant/. Helper. This position involves assisting head mechanics with various tasks in a repair shop. Applicants must be at least 21 years of age and have a clean driving record. Resume must show at least 2 years of recent hands-on mechanic work in an auto shop. The right candidate should be able to jump right in assisting other mechanics with vehicle and equipment maintenance with little to no questions.

• Responsibilities
• Assist with routine maintenance (oil changes, tire rotation, battery checks, fluid top- ups, and electrical repair)
• Disassemble and reassemble of vehicle and lawn equipment components to replace parts under the guidance of a skilled mechanic.
• Basic diagnostics on vehicles and motorized power equipment under the guidance of a skilled mechanic.
• Maintain accurate records of work performed and parts used.
• Electrical experience in auto or small engine repair is a plus..
• Perform routine and non- routine tasks servicing motorized lawn equipment.
• Clean and Lubricate equipment to allow proper functioning.
• Drive vehicles in and out of shop for repairs.
• Requirements
• Ability to conduct basic preventive maintenance on vehicles and motorized equipment.
• 2 Years hands on experience working in a mechanic shop as a helper or assistant.
• Must be at least 21 years of age (for insurance purposes) with a valid driver's license.
• Must have mechanical aptitude and demonstrate a willingness to learn new skills and procedures.
• Able to follow instructions from senior mechanics.
• Communicate effectively with team members regarding service updates and vehicle status.
• Able to work alone and exceed deadlines.
• Able to lift at least 50 lbs.
• Must be physically able to lift, bend, kneel, stoop, twist and stand throughout the day.
