Job Description
Job Summary:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Entry-Level Hydraulic Shop Technician to join our team. This position offers a great opportunity to learn and grow in the hydraulic systems field. The technician will assist with the repair, maintenance, and testing of hydraulic components and systems in a fast-paced, hands-on environment. No prior experience is necessary, but a passion for mechanical work and a willingness to learn is a must.Key Responsibilities:
Assist in the disassembly, inspection, cleaning, and reassembly of hydraulic components, including pumps, motors. Perform basic troubleshooting and diagnostics of hydraulic systems under the supervision of senior technicians. Assist in the installation and removal of hydraulic systems and components. Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring tools and equipment are properly stored and maintained. Test hydraulic components and systems to ensure functionality and performance. Record and document all repairs, maintenance, and test results in a timely and accurate manner. Communicate effectively with senior technicians and shop supervisors to discuss ongoing projects and issues. Follow all safety procedures and standards while working in the shop environment. Participate in training programs to improve technical skills and knowledge of hydraulic systems.Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent (some post-secondary education or training in mechanics, hydraulics, or a related field is a plus). Strong interest in mechanical work and hydraulic systems. Ability to work well in a team environment and take direction. Basic mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills. Good communication skills and attention to detail. Ability to work in a physically demanding environment and lift heavy components as needed. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with a focus on quality and safety. Preferred Skills (Not Required): Previous experience in a mechanical, automotive, or hydraulic repair shop. Basic understanding of hydraulic theory and terminology. Experience using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.Job Type:
