Mesilla Valley Transportation began in 1982 as a small independent fleet in the Southwest. Today, Mesilla Valley Transportation is one of the largest locally-owned Truck Load carriers in the U.S. We specialize in time-sensitive service between major manufacturing areas within the U.S., Canada, and Mexico borders. Join the MVT Family!!! Mesilla Valley Transportation is hiring a Equipment Prep Associate in El Paso, TX! The Equipment Prep Associate is responsible for the identification of assets, inspecting trucks and trailers, and interior components and ensures inventory tracking and repair documentation.
Schedule:
Monday-Friday 8am-5pm (Saturdays as needed)
Responsibilities:
Inspect trucks and trailers to identify defects. Track and accurately bill inventory. Input repair documentation into maintenance software system to track completion of repairs. Inspect unit interior and replace any damaged parts- seats, dash panels, arm rests, etc. Install wiper blades. Remove decals on trucks and trailers leaving no residue in a clean and efficient manner Assist in the out servicing and in servicing of equipment- both tractor and trailer
Job Requirements:
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent required. Vocational/technical school preferred. General knowledge of mechanical work preferred. Excellent attention to detail. Excellent customer service skills. Ability to work independently and within a team setting. Ability to use hand tools. Work Environment Indoor and Outdoor environment. Employee is regularly exposed to wet and/or humid conditions and outside weather conditions including direct sunlight & heat. Employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts, extreme cold and extreme heat. Employee is occasionally exposed to high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals; risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to high.
