Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Heavy Equipment Mechanic role based in Haltom City, Texas . The Heavy Equipment Mechanic will inspect, diagnose, and repair heavy equipment and fleet vehicles, including engines, hydraulics, electrical systems, brakes, and drivetrains. Daily responsibilities include performing scheduled preventive maintenance, conducting safety inspections, identifying mechanical issues, and completing accurate service records and work orders. The role will require using diagnostic tools, hand and power tools, and manufacturer manuals to troubleshoot and resolve mechanical problems efficiently. The mechanic will also collaborate with service managers and other team members to prioritize repairs, maintain a clean and safe work area, and follow all company and regulatory safety standards. Qualifications Strong skills in Equipment Maintenance and Vehicle Maintenance, including preventive service and safety inspections. Proficiency in Equipment Repair and component replacement for engines, hydraulics, brakes, and electrical systems. Effective Troubleshooting abilities to diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues using diagnostic tools and technical documentation. Previous experience as a heavy equipment, diesel, or fleet mechanic preferred. Ability to read and interpret service manuals, schematics, and repair orders. Commitment to safety practices and adherence to OSHA and company guidelines. Ability to lift and move heavy parts and work in a physically demanding, shop-based environment. High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in diesel or heavy equipment technology is a plus. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; commercial driver's license (CDL) is a plus.
