This is a hands-on troubleshooting role—not just routine maintenance. We're looking for a technician who can diagnose issues, prevent repeat failures, and keep critical equipment running safely and efficiently. What You'll Do Inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain forklifts, yard trucks, and shop vehicles Diagnose and repair diesel and natural gas equipment, including: o Engines, fuel and ignition systems o Hydraulics, brakes, steering, and transmissions o Electrical and charging systems o Mast assemblies, chains, forks, and attachments Perform preventative maintenance (PMs): oil changes, filters, inspections, lubrication, and safety checks Troubleshoot issues such as no-start, overheating, drivability, hydraulic failures, and electrical faults Identify unsafe equipment and remove from service when needed Perform basic hydraulic repairs (hoses, fittings, leaks, cylinders) Maintain accurate service records and repair documentation Coordinate parts and repairs with operations and maintenance teams Respond to equipment breakdowns impacting production Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area Follow all safety procedures and PPE requirements
What We're Looking For Required:
Hands-on experience with forklifts, trucks, diesel, natural gas, or heavy equipment Strong troubleshooting skills across mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems Experience performing PMs and safety inspections Working knowledge of: o Diesel engines and natural gas systems o Hydraulics, brakes, steering, and cooling systems o Electrical systems (starters, alternators, batteries) Ability to use diagnostic tools, multimeters, and shop equipment safely Strong attention to safety and detail Reliable, self-motivated, and able to work independently Preferred Qualifications Experience with forklift brands: Toyota, Hyster, Yale, Crown, Komatsu, Mitsubishi Background in industrial/manufacturing environments Experience with shop trucks, yard trucks, or service vehicles Hydraulic troubleshooting or hose repair experience Basic welding or fabrication skills Maintenance recordkeeping / PM scheduling experience Forklift certification or trainer experience Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus Pay & Schedule $28-$32/hour depending on experience Full-time, day shift Overtime as needed Physical Requirements Lift up to 50 lbs Stand, bend, kneel, and work with tools throughout shift Comfortable working around heavy equipment, fuel systems, and industrial environments Must follow all PPE and safety standards Why Apply Stable, full-time work in a high-demand technical role Variety of equipment—no repetitive "oil-change-only" work Opportunity to take ownership of equipment reliability and make a real impact on operations Apply Today Submit your resume or work history highlighting experience in: Forklift repair Diesel or natural gas equipment Truck or heavy equipment repair Industrial maintenance
