Position Overview:
Penmac Staffing is hiring a skilled Hydraulic Technician to support industrial repairoperations. This role focuses on hydraulic cylinder inspection, troubleshooting, teardown, repair, and reassembly for equipment used in steel processing and heavy manufacturingenvironments. This is a hands-on, diagnostic rolenot a parts changer. Were looking forsomeone who can identify why a failure occurred and ensure repairs are completedcorrectly the first time. Key Responsibilities Inspect, troubleshoot, disassemble, repair, and assemble hydraulic cylinders Identify root causes of failure (seal failure, scoring, rod damage, contamination, misalignment, etc.) Measure and inspect rods, barrels, pistons, glands, seals, bushings, and related components Determine repair scope and communicate requirements (machining, welding, honing, seal replacement, etc.) Read and interpret mechanical drawings, schematics, and repair documentation Install seals, wear bands, wipers, and related components Assist with pressure testing, leak checks, and final inspections Document findings, measurements, and repair recommendations clearly Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area Collaborate with machinists, welders, QC, and operations teams Ideal Candidate Detail-oriented and takes pride in quality repair work Strong problem-solver who understands root cause analysis Works independently while collaborating effectively Why Apply?
