Job Description

EXPERIENCED DIESEL HEAVY EQUIPMENT MECHANIC ONLY EXPERIENCED MECHANICS APPLY!
Job Summary:
This position will be responsible for the repair, service, and maintenance of a fleet of trenching equipment and a fleet of Ford service pickups & Heavy Haul Trucks . Work is primarily at the company yard in Johnson City, TX. When not in the yard you will work in the field or jobsites as required. Job locations are in different areas in Texas, New Mexico, Oklahoma and beyond - travel will be required as and when needed. Applicant must be able to perform a variety or skills which include troubleshooting, diagnosing, and maintenance on diesel and gasoline engines, hydraulic systems, electrical systems, differentials, planataries, transmissions, air conditioners and air compressors. Applicant will be required to satisfy all paperwork requirements on a daily basis which include, but not limited to, timesheets and repair orders. The applicant will keep a clean vehicle and work in a safe environment.
Requirements:
Must have an excellent driving record within company standards and have a valid Commercial driver's license, and be in possession of their own tools. May be required to work a night shift and/or overtime Must be able to travel out of town on a regular basis, extensive out of town travel Must have good listening and verbal communication skills, basic math skills Must be able to follow safety procedures. Ability to perform essential functions of the position Must have own tools Candidate must adhere to our DOT Drug Testing requirements, which include pre-employment, random testing, post accident, and just cause drug testing. Having a CDL license is a plus but not required. Pay is dependent on qualifications. Per Diem is paid when working out in the field and negotiable when working in the yard in Johnson City Texas. There is a 90-day probation period for all hired employees.
