Direct Hire Midland, TX Pay Rate:
$35.00 - $38.00 per hour Monday-Friday | 8 AM - 5 PM Tools Out. Time to Get to Work. We're hiring an experienced Heavy Equipment Mechanic for a direct-hire role with a growing industrial operation. Requirements:
5+ years of heavy equipment maintenance and repair experience. Strong background in diesel, hydraulic, and electrical systems troubleshooting. Experience servicing wheeled heavy equipment (forklifts, loaders, trucks, etc.). Ability to read and interpret schematics, diagrams, and technical manuals. Hands-on experience with CAT, John Deere, Hyster, Ottawa, Terberg, or similar equipment preferred. Skilled with hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment. Valid driver's license required. High school diploma or GED required. Mechanical or electrical certifications strongly preferred. Strong troubleshooting, diagnostic, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Strong commitment to safety and quality workmanship.
Job Duties:
Perform preventative maintenance, inspections, diagnostics, and repairs on heavy equipment. Troubleshoot diesel engines, hydraulic systems, electrical systems, and mechanical components. Repair and maintain forklifts, trucks, excavators, wheel loaders, and other wheeled industrial equipment. Read and interpret electrical schematics, hydraulic diagrams, parts manuals, and technical service documents. Utilize maintenance tracking systems/software to document repairs, parts usage, and service history. Maintain accurate maintenance logs, reports, and equipment service records. Ensure all work is performed in compliance with safety regulations and company standards. Support uptime and reliability of critical equipment in an industrial environment.
