Pump Technician / Mechanic Kudu Pump & Equipment Midland, TX Job Details Full-time $25 - $35 an hour 19 hours ago Benefits Health insurance Dental insurance Uniform allowance Vision insurance Flexible schedule Qualifications Heavy equipment electrical system troubleshooting OSHA (regulatory compliance area) Computer operation System troubleshooting Safety regulations Electrical work Company vehicle operation DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations Computer skills Electrical maintenance Full Job Description About the Role Kudu Pump & Equipment is hiring an experienced Mechanic to maintain and repair our growing fleet of diesel water transfer pumps, trailers, and related oilfield rental equipment. You'll play a critical role in keeping our equipment running reliably for customers in the Permian Basin. Key Responsibilities Perform preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on diesel pumps, engines, trailers, hoses, and auxiliary equipment. Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues in the shop and in the field. Conduct pre- and post-rental inspections to ensure equipment is rental-ready and meets safety standards. Service and maintain trucks, trailers, and heavy-haul equipment used for mobilization. Keep accurate records of repairs, parts used, and maintenance logs in our system. Assist with equipment mobilization/demobilization and occasional field support. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe shop environment. Order parts and manage inventory as needed. Requirements 2+ years of hands-on mechanic experience, preferably with diesel engines, industrial pumps, or heavy equipment. Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills (mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems). Experience in oil & gas, equipment rental, or heavy equipment repair is a big plus. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Valid driver's license (CDL a plus); willingness to travel to field sites occasionally. Basic computer skills for maintenance tracking. Commitment to safety and following all
OSHA/DOT
