Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Mechanic/Equipment Manager to lead the maintenance, repair, and management of our equipment fleet. This vital role ensures that all machinery and tools operate efficiently, safely, and reliably to support our operational goals. The ideal candidate will be proactive, hands-on, and possess a strong technical background with a focus on equipment upkeep and troubleshooting. Your expertise will keep our operations running smoothly, minimizing downtime and maximizing productivity. Responsibilities Perform routine inspections, preventative maintenance, and repairs on a wide range of machinery and equipment to ensure optimal performance. Troubleshoot mechanical issues using diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters to identify electrical faults accurately. Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment status to ensure compliance and facilitate future planning. Manage inventory of spare parts and tools, ensuring availability for scheduled maintenance and urgent repairs. Coordinate with team members to schedule maintenance activities that minimize operational disruptions. Conduct safety checks on all equipment, adhering to safety standards and regulations to prevent accidents or malfunctions. Assist in training team members on proper equipment use and basic troubleshooting techniques. Experience Proven experience as a mechanic or equipment technician in an industrial or construction environment. Strong knowledge of electrical systems, mechanical components, and hydraulic systems. Familiarity with diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters for electrical troubleshooting. Ability to read technical manuals, schematics, and maintenance documentation clearly. Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to maintenance challenges. Prior experience managing inventory of parts and tools is preferred. Knowledge of safety standards related to machinery operation and maintenance.
