Job Description
This position requires manual labor, which includes general maintenance of vehicles, repairing streets, and operating heavy equipment. Operates various heavy equipment such as chippers, backhoes, etc. in order to repair streets and remove tree limbs from power lines. Applies and rakes patching material as well as builds forms, pours and finishes concrete to repair streets. Prepares work areas by placing warning signs in order to ensure safety. Performs other duties as assigned. Qualifications Graduation from high school, GED. Experienced in safe operation of trucks. Must have eighteen (18) months of experience in repair and construction of streets and right-of-ways. Must have a minimum of 3 years of concrete finishing. Must be able to perform all essential job functions. Special Requirements Possess a Texas Class "B-CDL" or A-CDL" driver's license or required to obtain a "B-CDL" or "A-CDL" within 90 days of being hired. Miscellaneous Information The use of tobacco products is prohibited in all City facilities.
