Job Description

Material Handling Equipment / Pallet Jack Technician (DFW Area) Amtex Electric is a trusted service provider supporting grocery stores and commercial facilities throughout the DFW Metroplex. As we continue to expand our service offerings, we are seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Technician to maintain and repair pallet jacks and other material handling equipment used in warehouse and retail environments. We are looking for someone who takes pride in their workmanship, values safety, and enjoys solving mechanical and electrical problems in the field.
Responsibilities:
Diagnose and repair electric pallet jacks and material handling equipment Troubleshoot electrical, hydraulic, mechanical, and battery-related issues Perform preventative maintenance inspections and scheduled service Repair or replace motors, controllers, switches, contactors, wheels, bearings, hydraulic components, and other equipment parts Test equipment to ensure proper operation following repairs Utilize diagnostic tools and manufacturer service manuals Identify root causes of equipment failures and recommend corrective actions Accurately document findings, repairs performed, and parts used Communicate professionally with store personnel and management Explain repair recommendations and equipment conditions Maintain positive customer relationships while representing
Amtex Electric Qualifications:
Heavy equipment repair Strong mechanical aptitude Basic electrical troubleshooting skills Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record Ability to lift 75 pounds Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Hydraulic system repair experience Battery-powered equipment experience OSHA forklift certification. Must provide your own tools Excellent troubleshooting skills Strong communication and customer service skills Clean driving record and ability to travel throughout the DFW area
