WTX Oilfield Services is seeking a skilled Shop Mechanic to join our team. This position is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining oilfield equipment, vehicles, and machinery.

The ideal candidate has a strong mechanical background.
Responsibilities:
Determine vehicle condition by conducting inspections and diagnostic tests; identifying worn and damaged parts Keep equipment available for use by completing preventative maintenance schedules, installing component and part upgrades, and completing winterization procedures. Correct vehicle deficiencies by removing, repairing, adjusting, assembling, disassembling, and replacing assemblies, components, parts, or systems, such as; power and drive trains, electrical, air conditioning, fuel, emission, brake, steering, hydraulics; and making adjustments and alignments including bearing loads, gear tooth contact, valve mechanisms, oil systems, control linkages, and/ or clutches. Verify vehicle performance by conducting test drives. Comply with federal and state vehicle requirements by testing engine, safety, and combustion control standards. Maintain vehicle appearance by cleaning, washing, and painting. Maintain vehicle records and services with proper logging of repairs. Keep all shop equipment operating and in good condition. Contain costs by repairing properly initially, and transferring cost to warranty where applicable. Keep supplies ready by inventorying stock, placing orders, and verifying receipts, as well identifying when supplies need to be ordered.
Requirements:
Minimum 2 years mechanic experience (oilfield experience preferred). Strong understanding of diesel engines, hydraulics, and electrical systems. Ability to lift 50+ lbs, work in various weather conditions, and stand for extended periods. Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
