GENERAL DESCRIPTION

Performs diagnostics, service repairs and maintenance work on customer and/or dealer-owned equipment. Position requires candidate to be a quick learner, self-starter, and team player. Position may require some direction or guidance from the Service Manager or senior technicians. Position may require in field work with use of company service truck. Positive attitude and eagerness to learn are essential to success.

EXAMPLES OF WORK PERFORMED

Performs repairs and diagnostics requiring extensive knowledge of electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems and principles. Completes repairs of equipment correctly and efficiently. Identifies additional repairs needed to ensure customer satisfaction. Participates in training programs required for the development of skills and knowledge. Maintains condition of vehicles, inventory, tools and equipment. Maintains a clean work area and performs work in a neat and orderly fashion. Follows all safety rules and regulations in performing work assignments. Completes all reports and forms required in conjunction with work assignments. Accounts for all time and for all material used in performing assigned duties. Performs other duties as assigned.

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION

Diesel Mechanic/Technician:

2 years

Diesel Mechanic Working Conditions Physical:

Works in and around the maintenance shops and in the field, often exposed to all weather conditions. Exerts physical effort in bending, stooping, lifting, and climbing around equipment. Will be on Call at times Provide own tools

$25.00 - $35.00 per hour
