Job Description
We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Field Service Technician to join our team. As a Field Service Technician, you will travel to customers jobsites to perform repairs and maintenance on all makes and models of construction equipment. Your primary responsibility will be to diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues to ensure the optimal performance of the equipment. You will work with a wide range of machinery, including excavators, bulldozers, loaders, cranes, and more.
Responsibilities:
Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on heavy construction equipment. Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues using diagnostic tools and manuals. Perform repairs and component replacements to restore equipment to working condition. Troubleshoot and resolve equipment malfunctions efficiently and effectively. Collaborate with customers to understand their equipment concerns and provide appropriate solutions. Document all service and repair activities, including parts used, labor hours, and equipment status. Provide technical support and guidance to customers on equipment operation and maintenance. Adhere to safety protocols and ensure a safe working environment at all times. Qualifications Degree or completion certificate from Technical college or Trade school ( Experience will be considered in lieu of degree) Minimum 5 years as a heavy equipment mechanic with at least 3 being in field service. Recent OEM experience is required for this position Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude with the ability to diagnose and repair equipment issues. Proficiency in reading and interpreting equipment manuals, schematics, and technical drawings. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure in fast-paced environments. Strong customer service and communication skills. Willingness to travel to customer sites and work flexible hours when required. Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record. Safety-conscious mindset and knowledge of safety procedures.Job Type:
