Shop-based with occasional field service work Position Overview We are seeking a skilled Mechanic / Technician to perform maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on a wide range of heavy construction and specialty equipment . This position is primarily shop-based, with occasional field service as needed. The ideal candidate brings strong troubleshooting abilities, particularly in hydraulic systems, electrical systems, and powertrain diagnostics , and is comfortable working on complex equipment in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical systems, including CAN-bus controls Perform major component repairs and rebuilds on diesel engines, powertrains, undercarriage systems, transmissions, and structural components Conduct preventative maintenance and equipment inspections to ensure safety, performance, and reliability Complete service documentation, parts lookups, and work order reporting accurately and timely Perform shop repairs while safely operating heavy equipment and support tools Preferred Experience & Qualifications Experience working on heavy construction equipment such as earthmoving, foundation, utility, crane, mining, or specialty equipment Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills across hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems Experience with electronic controls, CAN-bus systems, and diagnostic software is highly desirable Solid understanding of diesel engines and powertrain systems Ability to interpret service manuals, schematics, and wiring diagrams Strong safety awareness and attention to detail Apply Today!
