  • Full-time Overview We are seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our team.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical background and experience in diagnosing and repairing various types of heavy machinery, including excavators, cranes, and farm equipment. This role requires a commitment to safety, quality workmanship, and excellent customer service skills. Responsibilities Diagnose and repair mechanical issues on heavy equipment, including but not limited to excavators, cranes, and tractors. Perform routine maintenance on industrial equipment and vehicles to ensure optimal performance. Conduct automotive diagnostics to identify issues in diesel engines and other machinery. Maintain accurate records of repairs and maintenance performed on equipment. Provide exceptional customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding their equipment needs and repair status. Adhere to all safety protocols while performing duties in the shop or field. Experience Previous experience as a Heavy Equipment Mechanic or in a similar role is required. Dealership experience is a plus, particularly with Caterpillar or other major brands. Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment is essential. Experience with welding, soldering, and assembly tasks will be beneficial. Strong mechanical knowledge of vehicle maintenance practices including brake repair, alignment, hydraulics, tire service, and diesel engine repair is required. Ability to lift heavy objects safely as part of the job responsibilities.
