LCAC Mechanic

Summary:

A LCAC Mechanic is responsible for the inspection, repair, and maintenance of the craft's mechanical, propulsion, and structural systems

Duties and Responsibilities:

System Maintenance:

Performing preventive and corrective maintenance on the LCAC's gas turbine engines, propulsion and lift systems, and auxiliary machinery.

Inspections and Repairs:

Inspecting craft structures and surfaces for damage, corrosion, and fatigue, and conducting necessary repairs or modifications using various tools and techniques.

Technical Interpretation:

Utilizing blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, and maintenance manuals to troubleshoot and execute repair tasks.

Documentation:

Maintaining detailed maintenance records and ensuring all work complies with technical and safety standards.

Required Qualifications:

High School Diploma or equivalent. 3-5 years previous work-related skill, knowledge, or experience. General knowledge of basic hand tools. Own your own basic hand tools. General knowledge of work site/shipboard protocol. Ability to obtain and maintain access to US military and/or government installation.

ADA Notations:

Frequently handles heavy objects. Able to lift, carry and move objects up to 50 lbs. in weight. Must have visual, manual and finger dexterity; able to grasp, manipulate, handle small objects. Able to quickly move your hand, your hand together with your arm, or your two hands to grasp, manipulate, or hold objects. Works inside in areas that are usually dusty, dirty, or greasy and outside, sometimes in bad weather. Work may be performed in extreme weather conditions; heat, cold, and wet.

Pay:

$28.12 - $33.87 per hour
