The purpose of this position is to assist the Fleet Maintenance Manager in their daily tasks. Assigned tasks will depend on skill, experience and knowledge.
EXPERIENCE IS NOT NECESSARY WE WILL TRAIN THE RIGHT CANDIDATE.
The Lynnhaven Marine Fleet Maintenance Division completes maintenance and repairs to all company-owned vehicles and equipment. Daily tasks include preventive maintenance and repairs. Occasional tasks include fabrication and seasonal maintenance inspections. Our fleet includes pickups, passenger cars, floor scrubber/sweepers, heavy marine forklifts, small sit-down pallet forklifts, and carbureted small equipment
Essential Functions:
Employee must be able to fulfill the following essential functions: Perform a standard vehicle inspection to identify safety and wear concerns. Safely operate a service lift for vehicles and equipment. Complete light repairs and maintenance including but not limited to: oil and filter change, tire rotation, tire repair/replacement, chassis lubrication, and brake repair/replacement Safely operate a motor vehicle on public and private property. Maintain a clean and organized work environment. Must be proactive, able to manage projects on their own, and able to effectively communicate with the Fleet Maintenance Manager.

$15.00 - $17.00 per hour
