On-Call Installation Technician - Contractor Position

Overview The GBS Group, an engineering services and consulting firm, is seeking an PRN Installation Technician to support our growing technology business in Boston, Massachusetts. The GBS Group is a commercial and government engineering services firm with a variety of contract types. This position will focus on our commercial business seeking independent contractors to be available on an as needed basis. Responsibilities include but are not limited to Drilling through stainless steel brackets for mounting of components Disassembling and reassembling vehicle's exterior body parts and interior panelsProperly mounting and securing components to vehiclesRouting wires and cabling into vehiclesDocumenting all work completed on work orders accuratelyMaintaining a clean, organized and safe working area Qualifications Candidates must possess the following professional experience and qualifications: Familiarity with mechanical installation work, including drilling and mounting of componentsMust have a proficiency using basic hand and power toolMust be flexible enough for periodic travel and stay overnight when requiredMust be able to pass security clearance check as some access to secure locations may be necessaryMust be able to lift packages weighing up to 70 lbs.
