• Full-time (some overtime when necessary)
• Swing shift M-F 3:00pm - 12:00am

• 401k + Match Overview This mechanic position will work as part of tight-knit team to repair & maintain a fleet of class 8 heavy duty trucks, mainly Kenworths.

These trucks are counted on every day to keep our operations rolling & we're looking for a skilled mechanic with a strong work ethic to be part of this team. The priorities for each day are different and can change at a moment's notice. Equipment can range from highway truck like concrete mixers & dump trucks to off-road heavy equipment like loaders, dozers, and excavators. Most of the work will be performed at our truck shop in Lakewood, with some service calls across ½ dozen sites spanning from Tumwater to Tacoma.

Daily Activities & Responsibilities Can Include:

• Addressing issues outlines in driver's Daily Vehicle Inspection Report (DVIRs)
• Maintaining all DOT standards on highway equipment
• Recording parts & hours by truck or project
• Diagnostics
• Parts replacement
• Making & replacing hydraulic hoses
• Clutch & transmission work
• Welding
• Frame repairs
• Daily turn-around for in-demand equipment
• Occasional engine rebuilds Requirements
• Basic working knowledge of: o Diesel engines o Hydraulic system o Drive trains o Air brakes o Low voltage DC
• Legal to work in the USA
• Must have good attendance
• Must be reliable
• Lives within reasonable commuting distance
