Kreilkamp Trucking, Inc. is a 5th generation trucking company that began operations in 1935. We are headquartered in Allenton, Wisconsin with locations in Horicon, Wisconsin; Edison, New Jersey; and Manteca, California. Today, there are over 300 active drivers, traveling over 18M miles per year. Our fleet is made up of over 300 tractors and over 1,000 trailers. The state-of-the-art equipment includes 2022 or newer tractor models and a combination of refrigerated, dry, and flatbed trailers. Role:
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Off-Site Forklift Mechanic to join our team. This role involves traveling to client locations to perform maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on a variety of forklift models and material handling equipment. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, customer-focused, and experienced in troubleshooting mechanical and electrical systems.
Key Responsibilities:
Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues on forklifts and related equipment. Perform routine maintenance and inspections to ensure equipment safety and reliability. Travel to customer sites within the designated service area. Order necessary parts for repairs and maintenance. Receive and verify parts deliveries for accuracy and condition. Track and bill parts used for each service job accurately. Maintain accurate service records and communicate findings to clients and dispatch. Ensure compliance with safety standards and company protocols.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a forklift mechanic or heavy equipment technician. Strong knowledge of internal combustion engines, electric motors, hydraulics, and diagnostics tools. Valid drivers license with a clean driving record. Ability to work independently and manage time effectively. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Certification in forklift maintenance or related field is a plus.
