Mechanic Technician Job Summary The Mechanic Technician IV is responsible for maintaining and servicing a facility's mechanical systems, including HVAC, control systems, power distribution, and mechanical equipment. This role performs preventative maintenance, routine repairs, and safety inspections to ensure optimal performance and compliance. The technician uses technical diagrams, schematics, and blueprints to install, troubleshoot, calibrate, and repair engines, compressors, and related equipment. Responsibilities also include ordering replacement parts, coordinating with service providers, and documenting work through a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS). Key Responsibilities Perform preventative maintenance and routine repairs on facility systems and equipment. Conduct safety and maintenance inspections to identify wear, damage, and replacement needs. Use technical documentation (blueprints, schematics) for installation and troubleshooting. Calibrate and repair engines, compressors, and mechanical systems. Order necessary parts and coordinate with vendors/service providers. Track and document work using CMMS or work order systems. Follow all safety procedures and regulations for handling materials and equipment.
Compensation Hourly Rate:
$32-$36/hour (Based on skills, certifications, and experience)

Job Requirements:
Qualifications High school diploma required. Completion of a trade apprenticeship or technical training preferred. 5-7 years of related experience preferred. ASE certifications preferred. CDL-A with active Medical Card preferred (not required). Willingness to travel within the U.S. using a service truck is preferred but not a disqualifier. Replace door hinges, hardware, seals, and build new doors. Diagnose and repair electrical systems, including ABS. Conduct roof, panel, and major body repairs. Replace tires, wheels, studs, hub seals, shocks, and axles. Replace brakes and components (e.g., cams, bushings, slack adjusters). Perform welding and fabrication, including landing gear replacement. Remove and replace subframes, rails, corner radius, and caps. Replace flooring, scuff rails, and dock plates. Tractor Maintenance (75%) Perform full PM and grease services. Conduct extensive inspections and diagnostics. Repair transmissions and drivetrains. Diagnose and repair aftertreatment systems. Maintain and troubleshoot tractor air systems and ABS.
