Job Description

If you are looking to join a growing company and one where you will be home every weekend, this role may be perfect for you! Utility Sales & Service is a rapidly growing manufacturer and service provider of custom-made aerial lift trucks located in Appleton, WI. Our equipment is used to build and service our nation's electrical infrastructure. We are seeking a 1st Shift Road Service Mechanic to service clients in central and southern WI. Candidates will need to train in Appleton for 3-6 months (M-F) before going out on the road, creating an opportunity to gain hands-on experience and long-term success. This position will require traveling locally Monday - Friday, with occasional overnight travel. Hotel, mileage and food reimbursements offered!

Short and long-term disability Safety is our #1 focus (7 years of no lost time for employees) Road Service Mechanic will be fully trained to perform the following duties: Inspecting, servicing and repairing of truck mounted hydraulic equipment including bucket truck aerials, digger derricks, light cranes, boom loaders, winches, lift gates, reel loaders, etc. per ANSI standards. Qualifications for Road Service Mechanic
  • Professional experience in service/repair, in any areas of automotive, diesel truck, forklift, crane or heavy equipment.
  • Experience with welding and fabrication are a plus, and experience in hydraulics and chassis electrical is preferred.
  • A Valid driver's license and clean driving record are required. A CDL is preferred but not required (for test driving trucks that are being repaired).
  • The ability to work 50ft in the air on aerial equipment.
  • A Physical, background check and drug test are required before starting. Why you should consider this position
  • Work in a well-maintained company vehicle with equipment and specialty tools provided. (Each Mechanic is responsible for providing their own basic hand tools). Hotel, meals, etc. are reimbursed at actual spend.
  • Overtime is available!
