Work with licensed FCC microwave, wireless broadband, millimeter-wave, SCADA, LoRaWAN, fiber, Ethernet, grounding, surge protection, and communications infrastructure. Perform antenna installations, antenna alignments, RF optimization, wireless performance testing, and field validation. Conduct site surveys, line-of-sight evaluations, wireless path assessments, and field evaluations. Install and support mounts, cabling, conduit, cabinets, grounding systems, fiber optics, network electronics, and related infrastructure. Troubleshoot network connectivity, wireless communications equipment, fiber optic systems, Ethernet infrastructure, and related field issues. Deliver high-quality installations while maintaining safety standards, project schedules, documentation, and customer expectations. Coordinate daily field activities, materials, manpower, site conditions, and project tasking with SWLAN project managers. Complete project documentation including photos, installation reports, test results, as-built information, and closeout packages. Maintain compliance with company safety policies and applicable
OSHA/MSHA
requirements. Travel to customer sites throughout Arizona and the Southwest, including occasional overnight or out-of-town work. What We're Looking For 3+ years of experience in tower, wireless, telecom, broadband, microwave, RF, or network infrastructure work. Hands-on experience installing, aligning, commissioning, or troubleshooting wireless broadband, microwave, RF, or communications systems. Comfortable working at heights using towers, rooftops, aerial lifts, ladders, and other elevated work platforms. Ability to install antennas, RF cabling, fiber, grounding, surge protection, cabinets, network equipment, and communications infrastructure. Experience with Cambium Networks, Ceragon, SIAE Microelettronica, Aviat Networks, Siklu, Radwin, Ubiquiti, SAF, or similar wireless platforms is preferred. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record and ability to operate company vehicles. Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening and background check. Ability to lift, carry, and move equipment and materials weighing up to 50 pounds. Willingness to work occasional extended hours, weekends, or adjusted schedules when needed for project deadlines, outages, travel, or customer site access. Willingness to travel throughout Arizona and occasionally support overnight or out-of-town projects. Professional workmanship, appearance, customer service, and communication when interacting with customers and team members. Ability to communicate clearly, both verbally and in writing, with customers, project managers, supervisors, and fellow technicians. Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, organization, field leadership, and time-management skills. Ability to work independently or as part of a field crew while maintaining a high standard of safety and workmanship. Tools & Equipment Candidates should have standard telecom hand tools. SWLAN provides specialized RF, fiber, safety, and commissioning equipment required for assigned projects.
