About the Role As a Field Service Appliance Technician, you will serve as a vital problem-solver for homeowners, diagnosing complex mechanical issues and restoring functionality to essential household systems. You will utilize your technical expertise to provide high-quality repairs, ensuring every customer receives a seamless and professional service experience. Responsibilities Travel to customer residences to perform precise diagnostics and repairs on major appliances, including refrigerators, washers, dryers, and dishwashers. Ensure optimal equipment performance through expert troubleshooting and efficient part replacement. Deliver exceptional service that builds customer trust and provides long-term value for their home maintenance needs. Maintain a well-organized service vehicle and manage inventory levels to ensure all necessary components are available for daily tasks. Document service outcomes accurately using mobile technology to streamline the repair process. Collaborate with team members to share technical insights and maintain high standards of workmanship across all service calls. Required Skills High school diploma or GED equivalent. Valid driver's license and a clean driving record. Active EPA Type I or Universal certification. Proven mechanical aptitude with the ability to safely operate standard testing and repair tools. Proficiency in using smartphone applications for navigation, parts ordering, and service documentation. Physical capability to lift up to 50 lbs frequently and perform tasks requiring bending, kneeling, and reaching. Preferred Skills 1-2 years of professional experience in appliance repair or a related field. Strong reading comprehension skills for interpreting complex technical manuals and wiring diagrams. Demonstrated ability to work independently in a fast-paced, mobile environment. Excellent verbal communication skills to explain technical issues clearly to homeowners.
