Facilities Technician/Appliance Technician

Appliance & Facilities Maintenance Technician Job Summary:

A multi-site retail and food service operation is seeking an experienced Appliance & Facilities Maintenance Technician to maintain equipment, building systems, and store operations. This role supports high‑traffic convenience store locations, ensuring all appliances, food service equipment, and facility systems remain fully operational and safe.

Responsibilities:

Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain commercial appliances and food service equipment (refrigeration units, ovens, fryers, warmers, beverage machines, ice machines) Perform general facilities maintenance including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and minor structural repairs Diagnose and repair issues with lighting, outlets, switches, breakers, and basic electrical components Perform plumbing repairs such as leaks, clogs, fixtures, valves, and drains Conduct preventative maintenance on appliances and facility equipment to reduce downtime Respond to service calls and emergency maintenance issues in a timely manner Complete work orders accurately using a CMMS or maintenance tracking system Coordinate with vendors for specialized repairs when required Maintain compliance with safety, food safety, and operational standards Support multiple store locations as assigned

Qualifications:

Previous experience in facilities maintenance, appliance repair, or commercial equipment service Strong troubleshooting skills across electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and appliance systems Experience working in retail, food service, convenience store, or high‑volume environments preferred Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Valid driver's license and ability to travel between locations Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical maintenance work

Preferred Skills:

Commercial refrigeration experience HVAC preventative maintenance (filter changes, basic diagnostics) Familiarity with CMMS systems EPA certification (a plus) Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Harrisburg, PA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $26.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
