We match experienced appliance and commercial kitchen equipment technicians to pre-scoped jobs at restaurants, bars, and commercial properties. You pick the jobs you want, we cover your materials upfront with a virtual card, and you get paid every Friday via direct deposit. No bidding. No invoicing. No chasing clients. Our client base is anchored in Nashville's commercial hospitality market — working restaurants and bars where equipment downtime costs real money. We need technicians who can diagnose quickly, fix it right, and keep a kitchen running. If that's you, OneTap is built for you. Who We're Looking For We need experienced commercial kitchen equipment and appliance technicians who are comfortable working under pressure in active food service environments. You are a fit if you: Have at least 3 years of hands-on commercial appliance or kitchen equipment repair experience Can diagnose and repair commercial cooking equipment, refrigeration, dishwashers, and ice machines Own your tools and diagnostic equipment and show up prepared Can professionally represent yourself on-site at an active restaurant or bar Understand that a broken fryer or walk-in cooler is an emergency for our clients — urgency and reliability matter Are comfortable using a smartphone app to accept jobs, navigate, and submit documentation Carry general liability insurance (minimum $1M per occurrence) Can pass a background check This is NOT a fit if you: Only have residential appliance repair experience (washers, dryers, home refrigerators) Are not familiar with commercial kitchen equipment (fryers, convection ovens, commercial refrigeration, dishwashers) Are looking for a W-2 position or guaranteed hours Are not comfortable with app-based job management and photo documentation How It Works Get matched: Jobs come to you based on your trade, location, and availability. Most appliance and equipment jobs fall into these categories: Commercial fryer, range, and convection oven repair and calibration Walk-in cooler and freezer diagnostics and repair Reach-in refrigerator and display case service Commercial dishwasher repair and descaling Ice machine cleaning, repair, and preventive maintenance Hood and ventilation system inspection and repair Steam equipment (steamers, steamtable) service Diagnostic visits with detailed equipment condition reporting

Requirements Summary Required:

3+ years of commercial kitchen equipment or appliance repair experience Valid driver's license and reliable transportation General liability insurance — minimum $1M per occurrence (proof required) Smartphone (iOS or Android) — must be able to run the OneTap app Ability to pass a background check Own diagnostic tools and standard hand tools Preferred (not required): EPA 608 Certification (required for any refrigerant work) Manufacturer certifications (Manitowoc, Hoshizaki, Rational, Hobart, etc.) CFESA (Commercial Food Equipment Service Association) membership or certification Experience working in active commercial kitchen environments under time pressure OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification
