Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a proactive and skilled Appliance Installer and Delivery Driver contractor with your own truck or cargo vans to join our dynamic team. In this energetic role, you will be responsible for delivering appliances safely and efficiently to customer locations, installing a variety of household appliances, and ensuring a seamless customer experience. Your mechanical aptitude, technical knowledge, and excellent customer service skills will drive success in this fast-paced environment. This position offers the opportunity to work independently while providing vital services that enhance our customers' lives. Duties Safely operate pick up trucks and delivery vehicles to transport appliances to residential or commercial sites. Unload appliances carefully, ensuring no damage occurs during transit or installation. Install and assemble appliances such as refrigerators, washers, dryers, ovens, and HVAC units following schematics and manufacturer instructions. Conduct basic appliance repairs or troubleshooting as needed, utilizing mechanical knowledge and electrical experience. Read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals to perform installations accurately. Communicate effectively with customers to schedule appointments, explain installation procedures, and address questions or concerns. Maintain detailed records of deliveries, installations, repairs, and service reports for each job performed. Requirements Proven experience as a delivery driver with a valid driver's license; experience operating box trucks preferred. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to read schematics and technical diagrams. Hands-on experience with appliance repair, electrical systems, refrigeration, HVAC, or equipment repair is highly desirable. Customer service skills with a friendly attitude and clear communication abilities. Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting heavy appliances safely and working in confined spaces when necessary. Knowledge of field service procedures including troubleshooting, assembly, electrical wiring, and equipment installation. Prior experience working with appliances or in service technician roles is a plus.
