HVAC/Mechanical Junior Estimator

Overview Join our team as an HVAC/Mechanical Junior Estimator and be at the forefront of project planning and cost analysis for large-scale construction and mechanical systems. As a member of our estimating team, you will support senior estimators by preparing detailed cost estimates, analyzing project specifications, and assisting in bid preparation for HVAC and mechanical systems. Duties Assist in preparing accurate construction estimates for HVAC and mechanical projects by analyzing plans, specifications, and project requirements. Utilize estimating software to develop detailed cost proposals, ensuring competitive pricing aligned with project scope. Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to gather pricing information and negotiate favorable terms while maintaining cost control. Review blueprints and technical documents to identify material quantities, scope of work, and potential challenges. Support the review of contracts and scope of work documents to ensure clarity and alignment with project goals. Contribute to bid packages by compiling all necessary documentation, including pricing sheets, schedules, and supporting calculations. Participate in construction site visits to gain firsthand understanding of site conditions that impact estimates and project planning. Assist in tracking project costs throughout the bidding process to support effective cost management and project profitability. Skills Strong negotiation skills to communicate effectively with suppliers, subcontractors, and clients. Experience with construction estimating software is desirable. Solid understanding of construction estimating principles specific to HVAC/mechanical systems. Knowledge of construction site operations, safety standards, and project management practices. Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and contracts accurately. Familiarity with cost control techniques, pricing strategies, and budget tracking within construction projects.
