Industrial Cooling Technician

In this role, you will be responsible for servicing, repairing, and troubleshooting complex refrigeration and HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning) systems. Responsibilities Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair industrial cooling equipment, including refrigeration systems, air conditioning units, boilers, and related mechanical components. Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, HVAC design plans, and plumbing diagrams to accurately diagnose issues and execute repairs. Conduct routine inspections of HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning / Refrigeration) systems to ensure optimal performance and compliance with safety standards. Perform service on ammonia refrigeration systems and other specialized refrigerants while adhering to safety protocols. Use diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters and welding equipment to repair electrical components and mechanical parts. Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs performed, and system performance data for compliance and future reference. Qualifications Proven experience in construction or service technician roles specializing in HVAC/R systems or property maintenance. Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in appliance repair, plumbing, welding, boiler operation, or equipment repair. Familiarity with schematics, HVAC design principles, ammonia refrigeration systems, and electrical troubleshooting tools such as ohmmeters. Experience working with field service operations involving air conditioning units, refrigeration systems (including ammonia-based), boilers, or similar industrial equipment. Ability to read technical diagrams accurately and follow safety guidelines rigorously during all maintenance activities.

Pay:

$30.00 - $40.00 per hour
