Mechanical Cooling Technician / $30+hr

Responsibilities Conduct routine inspections and troubleshooting of refrigeration, HVAC, and mechanical systems using schematics, technical manuals, and diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters. Perform repairs on equipment including air conditioning units, boilers, ammonia refrigeration systems, plumbing fixtures, and appliance components. Install, modify, and maintain HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning/Refrigeration) systems in compliance with design specifications and safety standards. Use welding techniques to repair or fabricate mechanical components when necessary. Read and interpret schematics and HVAC design documents to accurately diagnose issues and implement solutions. Maintain detailed service records, logs, and reports documenting all inspections, repairs, and system modifications. Experience Proven experience as a service technician specializing in HVAC/R systems or refrigeration equipment. Hands-on experience with construction projects involving mechanical systems installation or maintenance. Familiarity with property maintenance tasks related to mechanical systems management. Knowledge of plumbing systems, appliance repair, boiler operation, and general equipment repair is highly desirable. Ability to read schematics accurately and work confidently with technical diagrams. Mechanical knowledge complemented by experience in welding, boiler maintenance, or ammonia refrigeration is a plus. Previous field service experience working directly on HVAC/R units or mechanical equipment in commercial or industrial settings.
