Full-Time Position Summary We are seeking an experienced and motivated Senior HVAC Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience servicing, diagnosing, repairing, and installing residential and light commercial HVAC systems. This role requires strong technical expertise, excellent customer service skills, leadership abilities, and a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship while maintaining safety standards. Key ResponsibilitiesTechnical Duties Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair residential and light commercial HVAC systems, including: Air conditioners Heat pumps Gas furnaces Air handlers Ductless mini-split systems Commercial package units Ventilation systems Perform preventative maintenance and system inspections. Install, replace, and commission HVAC equipment according to manufacturer specifications and local codes. Identify system deficiencies and recommend appropriate solutions to customers. Conduct airflow analysis, refrigerant diagnostics, and electrical troubleshooting. Complete startup procedures and verify system performance. Maintain accurate service records, invoices, and inspection reports. Leadership & Team Support Mentor and train junior technicians and apprentices. Assist with technical problem-solving and field support. Promote best practices in safety, customer service, and workmanship. Participate in ongoing training and professional development. Customer Service Communicate findings and repair recommendations clearly and professionally. Educate customers on system operation, maintenance, and energy-saving opportunities. Build strong customer relationships through exceptional service and professionalism. Represent the company positively in all customer interactions. Safety & Compliance Follow all OSHA regulations and company safety policies. Maintain EPA compliance and proper refrigerant handling procedures. Ensure all work complies with local, state, and federal codes. Maintain a clean, organized service vehicle and work environment. Required Qualifications 5+ years of residential and light commercial HVAC experience. High school diploma or equivalent. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. EPA Universal Certification. Strong understanding of electrical, refrigeration, and mechanical systems. Ability to read wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical manuals. Experience using digital diagnostic tools and service software. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Preferred Qualifications NATE Certification. HVAC trade school or technical college education. Experience with smart thermostats, zoning systems, and indoor air quality products. Experience supervising or mentoring technicians. Additional certifications related to HVAC service and installation. Physical Requirements Ability to lift and carry up to 75+ pounds. Ability to work in attics, crawl spaces, rooftops, and confined areas. Ability to climb ladders and work at heights. Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
