In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing HVAC systems to ensure optimal performance and energy efficiency. Your expertise will help create comfortable environments and support property maintenance operations. Duties Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain HVAC systems including air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration equipment, and ventilation systems. Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, technical manuals, and HVAC design documents to accurately diagnose issues and implement solutions. Perform routine inspections of HVAC/R equipment to ensure safety standards and operational efficiency are met. Conduct plumbing work related to HVAC systems such as condensate drainage or refrigerant piping. Use diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters to test electrical components and ensure proper system operation. Repair or replace mechanical components including motors, fans, compressors, valves, and weld or fabricate parts as needed. Maintain detailed service records, complete shift reports, and document all repairs for compliance and future reference. Operate a driver vehicle safely for field service visits across multiple sites. Assist with ammonia refrigeration systems and other specialized HVAC/R applications requiring specific technical expertise. Support property maintenance tasks related to HVAC systems to ensure continuous operation in commercial or industrial facilities. Skills Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in HVAC installation, repair, and maintenance. Proficiency in reading schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals related to HVAC design. Experience working as a service technician in construction or property maintenance environments. Knowledge of refrigeration systems including ammonia refrigeration is highly desirable. Familiarity with plumbing techniques relevant to HVAC applications. Ability to operate diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters effectively. Skilled in welding and equipment repair techniques for HVAC components. Experience with boiler operation and maintenance is a plus. Mechanical experience with appliances repair or general field service work is beneficial. Understanding of HVAC/R safety standards including handling refrigerants like ammonia or other chemicals involved in refrigeration systems.
