Job Description

Senior HVAC Technician $40/hr We are a commercial Electrical/HVAC/Lock company specializing in light commercial projects for senior living and healthcare communities. We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated HVACR tech to join our team. We are looking for a dependable team member we can send on any commercial service job and they will get it resolved. The right individual will also feel comfortable training/mentoring an apprentice. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HVAC & Refrigeration systems, mechanical knowledge, and experience in commercial repair and maintenance. This role involves installing, maintaining, and repairing heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems in primarily commercial properties, this does include chillers. Responsibilities Perform system performance checks including temperature differential testing, airflow measurement, refrigerant pressure and charge verification, and electrical diagnostics. Inspect, evaluate, clean, calibrate, and maintain HVAC equipment including RTUs, split systems, MAUs, chillers, boilers, ductwork, dampers, and thermostats. Document each site visit with pictures, test results, and technician notes; communicate findings and recommendations via company system. Assist with system commissioning and startup, including verification of proper controls integration and equipment operation. Provide solutions and recommendations for system performance issues and all aspects of HVAC operation. Replace or repair malfunctioning HVAC components such as motors, compressors, valves, sensors, and control boards. Travel with company vehicles to multiple commercial job sites daily. May perform other duties as assigned, including supporting other departments or job functions to balance workload or cover absences. Perform other duties as assigned, including assisting with tasks in other departments or supporting other trades as needed. Requirements Proven 10+ years experience in HVAC installation and repair. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot various HVAC systems. Familiarity with air conditioning systems, schematics, and equipment maintenance practices. Ability to lift heavy equipment and work in various environmental conditions. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; ability to operate a van for transportation to job sites. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Excellent communication skills and a customer-oriented mindset.
