HVAC Service Technician

Overview We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Air Conditioning Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HVAC systems, including installation, maintenance, and repair of air conditioning units. This role requires a combination of technical knowledge and hands-on experience to ensure optimal performance and efficiency of HVAC systems in residential and commercial settings. Duties Install, maintain, and repair air conditioning systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards and safety regulations. Diagnose issues with HVAC equipment using schematics and technical manuals to determine appropriate solutions. Perform routine maintenance on HVAC systems, including cleaning coils, replacing filters, and checking refrigerant levels. Utilize tools such as ohmmeters and brazing equipment for repairs and installations. Collaborate with other technicians on complex projects involving HVAC design and installation. Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients about system performance and necessary repairs. Keep accurate records of service performed, parts used, and time spent on each job. Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and best practices in HVAC/R. Qualifications Proven experience as a service technician in the HVAC field or related mechanical fields. Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in construction or property maintenance. Familiarity with refrigeration systems, plumbing, and appliance repair is highly desirable. Ability to read and interpret schematics related to HVAC design and electrical systems. Proficient in troubleshooting equipment repair issues using various tools and techniques. Valid driver's license required; must be able to travel to job sites as needed. Excellent problem-solving skills along with the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Strong attention to detail with a commitment to quality workmanship.
