HVAC Residential Installer

Canyon Air Systems , a division of Andersen Commercial Plumbing recognized as one of Southern California's top commercial service companies, is seeking a skilled and motivated HVAC Installer to join our growing team. Position Overview The HVAC Installer is responsible for the installation, start-up, and testing of residential and commercial heating and air conditioning systems. This role requires technical expertise, attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Key Responsibilities Install new and replacement HVAC systems for residential and commercial customers Deliver excellent customer service in homes and commercial environments Work on a wide range of HVAC systems and components, including:

Residential:

furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, boilers

Commercial:

rooftop units (RTUs), VAV systems, economizers (single & three-phase) Install and work with: Ductwork, condensate drains, hydronic piping, venting Refrigerant, gas piping, and insulation Line and low-voltage wiring, controls, and system programming Perform field tasks such as brazing, soldering, pipe threading, and welding Read and interpret construction drawings and equipment cut sheets Safely work on ladders, lifts, and scaffolding as needed Properly prepare, test, and start up newly installed HVAC equipment Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor when interacting with customers Follow all company safety policies and procedures Train and mentor less experienced team members when assigned Maintain punctuality and reliability for scheduled workdays Qualifications & Requirements 5+ years of experience as an HVAC Installer NATE and/or EPA Refrigerant Certification preferred (not required) Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team Must supply personal hand tools and cordless drill (Company provides larger equipment such as vacuum pumps, torches, and corded tools) Valid driver's license with a clean, insurable driving record Ability to pass pre-employment drug screening and background check Comfortable working in confined or challenging environments (attics, crawl spaces, etc.) Ability to climb ladders and work at heights when required Compensation & Benefits $28.00 - $35.00 per hour (based on experience) Company-supported health, vision, and life insurance Weekly on-call bonus Paid holidays, vacation, and sick time (accrued) Company vehicle and fuel card Company-provided uniforms and ongoing training/certifications Education High school diploma or equivalent required Physical Requirements Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, squat, and lift for extended periods Frequent use of hands, tools, and full-body mobility (reaching, crouching, handling equipment) Must be able to lift up to 70 pounds Adequate vision, hearing, and communication abilities to safely perform job duties Equal Opportunity Employer Andersen Commercial Plumbing is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
