In this energetic role, you will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting a wide range of HVAC equipment across various property types. Your expertise will help create comfortable, safe environments while supporting property maintenance initiatives. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to apply your technical skills in a fast-paced, service-oriented setting. Duties Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on HVAC systems, including air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration systems, and ammonia refrigeration equipment. Diagnose and repair mechanical issues using schematics, technical manuals, and diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters. Conduct field service visits to troubleshoot and resolve HVAC/R (refrigeration) problems efficiently on-site. Repair and maintain plumbing systems related to HVAC equipment to ensure proper operation. Utilize HVAC design principles to assist with system upgrades or modifications aligned with property needs. Operate welding equipment and perform equipment repairs that require mechanical knowledge and mechanical skills. Support property maintenance efforts by addressing appliance repair needs and ensuring all systems meet safety standards. Drive company vehicles as a driver to various job sites while adhering to safety protocols. Read and interpret schematics and technical drawings for installation or repair projects. Document all maintenance activities accurately while maintaining detailed records of repairs and inspections. Qualifications Proven experience as an HVAC service technician or in a similar field service role with construction or property maintenance background. Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in HVAC/R systems, refrigeration, plumbing, boiler operation, and appliance repair. Familiarity with schematics, HVAC design principles, and technical manuals is essential. Ability to operate diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters effectively. Skilled in welding and equipment repair techniques necessary for maintaining complex machinery. Mechanical experience with ammonia refrigeration systems is highly desirable. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; driver certification preferred. Knowledge of electrical systems related to HVAC equipment is advantageous. Excellent problem-solving skills combined with the ability to work independently in the field under tight deadlines.
