In this energetic role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing heating, ventilation, air conditioning, refrigeration, and related mechanical systems. Your expertise will ensure our clients enjoy reliable climate control solutions while you develop your skills in a fast-paced, rewarding field. This position offers a chance to work on diverse projects, from residential to commercial properties, utilizing your construction knowledge and mechanical aptitude to deliver top-tier service. Duties Install HVAC systems including air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration equipment, and ductwork following schematics and HVAC design plans. Conduct system inspections and troubleshoot issues using tools such as ohmmeters and welding equipment to ensure optimal operation. Perform routine maintenance and repairs on HVAC/R equipment, including appliance repair and property maintenance tasks. Read and interpret technical schematics, blueprints, and mechanical drawings to accurately assemble and install systems. Utilize plumbing skills for refrigerant line connections and water supply setups; ensure compliance with safety standards. Operate a company vehicle safely to transport tools and equipment to job sites; maintain a clean driving record. Collaborate with service technicians and other team members to diagnose problems in the field and implement effective solutions promptly. Skills Strong construction background with experience in mechanical installation and property maintenance. Proven service technician experience in HVAC, refrigeration, or appliance repair roles. Knowledge of schematics, HVAC design principles, and technical manuals for system installation. Mechanical knowledge related to plumbing, refrigeration systems including ammonia refrigeration, boilers, and HVAC/R components. Field service experience with the ability to troubleshoot complex systems efficiently. Proficiency using diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters; skilled in equipment repair including welding and mechanical adjustments. Familiarity with safety protocols involving refrigerants (including ammonia), welding techniques, and boiler operation.
