Job Overview We are seeking an experienced Lead HVAC/R Technician with 7+ years of proven expertise to join our expanding team and service operations.
Key responsibilities include:
Diagnose, repair, and maintain light commercial refrigeration systems including reach-in coolers, display cases, and walk-in units. Service, and repair commercial HVAC equipment including split systems, packaged units, and rooftop units. Recover, evacuate, and recharge refrigerant systems in full compliance with EPA 608 regulations. Perform scheduled preventive maintenance inspections and complete associated service documentation accurately and on time. Read and interpret wiring schematics, electrical diagrams, and equipment manuals to support diagnosis and repair activities. Identify system deficiencies and communicate findings, recommendations, and service options to customers and supervisors. Adhere to all Cal/OSHA safety standards, company safety policies, and client site-specific requirements at all times. Maintain a properly stocked, organized, and clean service vehicle and keep tools and equipment in good working order. Provide professional communication and responsive service to customers, coworkers, and vendors to uphold service quality and client satisfaction. Required Skills and Qualifications Previous experience in HVAC/R or other related fields 5+ years in commerical refrigeratrion experience. Familiarity with HVAC/R wiring diagrams Ability to handle physical workload Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills Must be able to lift/push/pull at least 50 lbs., as well as perform overhead work and crawling/squatting, with or without reasonable accommodation EPA Universal NATE Core strongly preferred NATE Certifications a plus
