Job Description

HVAC Installer / Lead HVAC Installer (Residential & Commercial) $23-$40+/hr DOE | Full-Time | Redding, CA Gibson Heating & Air is a family-owned HVAC company serving the North State since 1968. We are hiring HVAC Installers and Lead HVAC Installers with residential and/or commercial installation experience. This position is ideal for installers looking to grow into a lead role or experienced leads looking for a long-term home.
Job Responsibilities:
Install, replace, and retrofit HVAC systems including furnaces, heat pumps, air conditioners, condensers, air handlers, and ductwork Perform residential and commercial HVAC installations Read and interpret installation plans and specifications Ensure installs meet CA code, manufacturer specs, and company quality standards Maintain clean, safe, and professional job sites Communicate with customers, project managers, and team members
Lead HVAC Installers:
supervise installers/apprentices and manage install projects
Qualifications:
HVAC installation experience required (entry-level through lead) Lead Installers typically have 5+ years HVAC install experience Knowledge of residential and commercial HVAC systems EPA certification preferred (or ability to obtain) Valid California Driver's License & clean driving record Ability to lift 50+ lbs, climb ladders, work in attics and crawl spaces Strong troubleshooting, mechanical aptitude, and attention to detail Must pass pre-employment screening and background check (as permitted by CA law)
