401(k) Company car Competitive salary Paid time off Job description: Overview We are seeking an experienced HVAC technician/installer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HVAC/heating systems, with hands-on experience in installation, maintenance, and repair of air conditioning units. This role requires mechanical knowledge and the ability to work with various tools and equipment. The technician will be responsible for ensuring optimal performance of HVAC systems while providing exceptional service to our clients. Typical working days are Monday-Friday with varying shifts depending on the season. Summer shifts may require working some Saturdays as needed and significant overtime may be needed. Background check is required as we do service within the Military Housing communities in San Diego. Pay $30-$40 per hour DOE. Paid holidays and 1 week paid vacation. Duties Install, maintain, and repair air conditioning systems and related equipment. Troubleshoot HVAC issues using schematics and diagnostic tools. Perform routine maintenance on HVAC systems to ensure efficiency and longevity. Conduct field service calls to assess and resolve client issues. Collaborate with team members on HVAC design projects and property maintenance tasks. Operate tools such as ohmmeters, welders, and other equipment for repairs. Maintain accurate records of service calls, repairs performed, and parts used. Perform quality control inspections on new installs to make sure system is properly installed and working Provide written estimates to customers Qualifications Proven experience as a service technician in the HVAC industry. Strong understanding of construction principles related to HVAC installation. Valid driver's license and clean driving record is required for travel between job sites. Company truck provided during working hours Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Strong communication skills to interact effectively with clients and team members. EPA 608 Certification Type 2 required Must be up to date on codes 5+ years HVAC experience preferred Ability to lead and train other employees
