Job description Overview Homeland Plumbing and Heating is a locally owned and operated company in Colorado Springs. Our team of about 16 people needs a trustworthy, honest, and hardworking HVAC Technician to join! The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical aptitude and experience in HVAC systems. This role involves working in various environments, performing installations, maintenance, and repairs on heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems. The HVAC Technician will be responsible for ensuring optimal performance and efficiency of all HVAC systems while adhering to safety standards. We strive for relational interactions, not transactional which has set us apart from other companies. We are NOT private equity and never will be and we don't work on commission. We sell the customer only what they need. Join our growing organization! Duties Install, maintain, and repair HVAC systems in residential and commercial settings. Diagnose issues with heating and cooling systems using schematics and mechanical knowledge. Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on HVAC equipment. Troubleshoot and resolve equipment malfunctions efficiently. Weld components as necessary to ensure proper functionality of systems. Collaborate with team members to design effective HVAC solutions tailored to client needs. Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and standards during service calls. Maintain accurate records of work performed, including service reports and inventory management. Experience Proven experience in the field of HVAC with a solid understanding of mechanical principles. Familiarity with ammonia refrigeration systems is highly desirable. Proficiency in reading schematics and technical drawings related to HVAC systems. Strong background in equipment repair and troubleshooting techniques. Ability to work independently or as part of a team in various environments. Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail. Must have a valid drivers license with no restrictions, be able to pass a drug screening and provide references.
