In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of HVAC systems, ensuring optimal performance and customer satisfaction. Your expertise will help clients achieve energy efficiency, comfort, and reliable climate control in their residential or commercial properties. Duties Diagnose and troubleshoot HVAC systems using schematics, technical manuals, and diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters. Perform installation, repair, and maintenance of HVAC equipment including air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration systems, and ammonia refrigeration systems. Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and HVAC design plans to accurately execute service tasks. Conduct plumbing work related to HVAC systems and property maintenance as needed. Repair appliances and mechanical components such as welders, pumps, motors, and other equipment integral to HVAC operations. Utilize field service skills to respond promptly to service calls, ensuring timely resolution of issues on-site. Maintain detailed service reports, logs, and documentation for all work performed to ensure compliance with safety standards and company policies. Skills Proven experience as a service technician with a strong background in HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning / Refrigeration). Mechanical knowledge with the ability to read schematics and technical diagrams accurately. Hands-on experience with equipment repair including boilers, refrigeration units, ammonia refrigeration systems, and appliances. Skilled in plumbing work related to HVAC systems and property maintenance tasks. Ability to operate diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters effectively for troubleshooting electrical issues. Experience with welding techniques for repairs or modifications of equipment components. Valid driver's license with a clean record; experience operating drivers or similar vehicles is preferred. Knowledge of HVAC design principles and construction processes enhances your ability to deliver comprehensive solutions. Familiarity with field service procedures including troubleshooting complex mechanical systems on-site. Strong mechanical aptitude combined with excellent problem-solving skills to identify issues quickly and implement effective repairs.
